DOHERTY ON HIS BOND WITH NOTTINGHAM
Forward Tim Doherty spoke with Panthers TV after signing deal to return for a third successive season and explains why his bond with the club and supporters was a major factor in him returning for the 2026/27 campaign.
The 30-year-old has already scored 105 regular-season points (41+64) in 100 matches in his two years with the club so far.
Doherty said: "My relationship with the fans and the community is a major reason I came back. I don't think there are many clubs like this where players get the support from the fans like we do.
"My heart just said Nottingham and that's why I want to come back. As team, we all just want to win for the club, the city, each other and the fans."
After winning the playoffs, Challenge Cup and Continental Cup in the past two years, Doherty also discussed his passion to bring the Elite League title to the Motorpoint Arena.
