Nottingham Panthers kickstarted the Motorpoint Elite League season with a 5-1 victory over Manchester Storm on Saturday night.
Ben Corbeil scored a hat-trick and there were also goals for Tim Doherty and Matt Alfaro as Panthers secured the two points.
Netminder Mat Robson made 19 saves as he secured a 0.95 save percentage.
Despite Panthers outshooting the Storm throughout the night, it was a 2-1 game until late in the game before Danny Stewart's side scored three goals in the final six minutes.
