It was a night of drama at the Motorpoint Arena on Wednesday as Nottingham Panthers beat Coventry Blaze 3-2 after a penalty shootout.
The victory secured Panthers a place in the Challenge Cup Elimination Game after the shootout success confirmed third place in Group A.
After Connor Russell gave the visitots and early lead, Tim Doherty scored a second-period equaliser on the powerplay.
Kim Tallberg put Coventry ahead again before the late drama which saw Ollie Betteridge send the game to overtime by scoring with only 41 seconds remaining with Kevin Carr lifted for the extra skater.
Matt Marcinew and Mitch Fossier scored in the shootout while Carr turned away four of Coventry's five attempts.

Next at home: Belfast and Coventry double-header
Following Saturday's trip to Cardiff Devils, Panthers return to the Motorpoint Arena the following weekend for a home double-header.
Belfast Giants are the visitors on Friday 31st October (19:00) with Coventry Blaze in town on Saturday 1st November (19:00).
