Former Panthers forward Bruce Richardson returns to Nottingham later this month as Head Coach of Amiens as the two sides do battle in the GM the GM Memorial Trophy on Saturday 29th August (19:00 face-off).
Richardson, who had an extensive career in North America, joined Panthers in 2008 and quickly became a fans' favourite in a two-year spell in Nottingham.
His no-nonsense attitude and willingness to drop the gloves showed his passion as he amassed over 200 PIMS which included many memorable fights.
But he was also a skillful forward too and scored at over a point per game with 110 points (26+84) in 105 regular-season matches.
He was part of the Challenge Cup-winning roster in 2010 before moving on to become player-coach of Braehead Clan.
Richardson has since coached in the top junior leagues in North America as well as a stint as Assistant Coach of Canada Under-18s.
