Nottingham Panthers begin the Elite League season this evening (Wednesday) with a trip to Guildford Flames (19:30 face-off).

It's the first of two meetings between the two sides in four days and tonight's action is quickly followed by Saturday's Challenge Cup encounter at the Motorpoint Arena.

The Flames beat Panthers earlier this month in the cup so Panthers are out for quick revenge and it's huge with two league points on the line.

View from the Bench
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "I liked our game the last two periods in Guildford, but you can't concede five in the first period and expect to win the game.

"The first and most primary thing is we need to manage the puck. You can't give them opportunities off the break or second chances.

"They put a lot of volume to the net and go to the hard areas. We have to force them to defend."

Team News in association with Candid Digital
Panthers expect to ice a full roster of 20 players in Guildford tonight.

Captain Matt Alfaro continues his recovery from his post-season operation so will not be in the line-up.

Shirt Off His Back: Bryan Lemos
