Assistant Coach Linton Grant has signed a new deal with the Nottingham Panthers.
The 28-year-old, who was originally born in Birmingham, returned to the UK in the summer to link-up with the Panthers after a decade of working in North America.
Grant said: "I am excited to be coming back. It's been a great first year in pro hockey.
"It has been good having Danny (Stewart) as a mentor. I have learnt a lot of things from him and I think we're a good partnership.
"As a club, our goal was to start putting Nottingham on the map and I think we have started that by taking the title-race down to the final weekend.
"I have seen how passionate the Panthers fans are, so bringing silverware to them would be our next big step and it would really reward them for their dedication and passion."
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "It was a no-brainer for us to bring Linton back next season. He’s played a big part in our success this season.
"For a first-year coach, he’s come in with an open mind to learn, along with an incredible work ethic. He’s a sponge and he’s only gonna get better with time.
"He’s been a great help to me all year on the bench and behind the scenes - and adds to a great staff we have here in Nottingham."
