MATT ALFARO NAMED PANTHERS CAPTAIN FOR 2025-26 SEASON

Matt Alfaro has been named as the Nottingham Panthers Captain for the 2025-26 season.
The 28-year-old scored 41 points in 45 regular-season matches last season before helping Panthers win the playoffs with victory over Cardiff Devils.
His performances throughout the season saw him win the team's Most Consistent Player of the Year award voted for by the coaches.
Alfaro will be joined by four Alternate Captains - Ollie Betteridge, Tim Doherty, Mitch Fossier and Josh Tetlow.
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "It's a culmination of his prescence and how he plays the game. The guy shows up night in, night out.
"Although he did not wear a letter last year he was very much involved in the leadership group.
"He helps you on the scoresheet but also a lot of things that he does goes unnoticed. He just does everything out there and he is so important for us on and off the ice."
Alfaro said: "It's a huge honour to be named as Panthers captain and to lead this great hockey club.
"You can see what the Panthers means to the fans and the city and to represent them as captain is very special."
