MOORE AND STRACHAN NAMED PANTHERS ASSISTANT COACHES
American Kevin Moore will join The Nottingham Panthers as Assistant Coach.
Moore joins the Panthers from Indy Fuel of the East Coast Hockey League where he was Assistant Coach last season.
The 34-year-old former netminder also has extensive coaching experience in the NCAA and was Director of Hockey Operations for Princeton University in 2021-22.
Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: "Kevin is an exceptional coach and last season played a big role for Indy Fuel in the East Coast Hockey League. He's very knowledgeable and will add great value to our coaching staff.
"With Kevin’s previous experience of working as a goaltending coach, this is also a role that he will take on for the Panthers. This will be a big boost for our club and for our goaltenders."
Moore said: "I am so excited and thrilled to be joining the Panthers, I am counting down the days until I can come over.
"I want to expand my coaching horizons with this move. I had a lot of good coaches growing up and I now want to help people achieve their goals.
"I jumped into coaching early thanks to my mentors and I wanted to be like them and follow in their footsteps."
Assistant Coach Rick Strachan, who returns for his 12th season behind the bench, completes Jonathan Paredes' coaching staff for the 2023-24 season.
Pacha added: "Rick knows this club inside out and it was important to have someone on the coaching staff who has experience and knowledge of the league.
"He is very popular in every dressing room he is part of and his knowledge will be important for what we want to build as a club."
Strachan said: "I am excited to be back next season. I love this club the city and the fans.
"I am looking forward to working with Jonathan and Kevin and the roster we are assembling."
