NEARLY £10,000 RAISED FOR NOTTINGHAM HOSPITALS CHARITY

Thank you #PanthersNation - you helped raise nearly £10,000 for Nottingham Hospitals Charity.

The final amount was a remarkable £9,386.96 and this was raised from the game-worn Hockey Fights Cancer jersey raffle and the raffle for five custom Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys.

Funds were also raised from the replica Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys sold in Panthersland, plus a donation from our community programme.

The money is going towards creating an outside roof area of the Hogarth Ward at the City Hospital which specialises in the care of 19 to 24-year-olds who are undergoing treatment for cancer.

It currently has four in-patient beds and a day-care facility which helps patients feel comfortable and at home whilst undergoing treatment.

Thanks to the support of the remarkable Panthers fanbase, the outside roof area can be refurbished to allow patients respite from their rooms and treatment, whilst enabling them to socialise with other young people being treated on the ward.

The newly designed garden will have various areas which patients and their families will be able to enjoy whilst still being cared for by the staff on the ward.
