Coach Gary Graham has arrived in Nottingham today as the Panthers’ preparations ramp up ahead of the new season.

Graham will now start to prepare for training camp and five pre-season matches ahead of the Elite League season opener at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday 10th September against Guildford Flames.

After landing at Heathrow Airport from the USA, Graham made the journey up the M1 to Nottingham to arrive in the city for the first time this afternoon.

“I am excited to be here and can’t wait to get started,” said Graham. “I have read about what a great city Nottingham is, so it’s really nice to finally arrive.

"I am looking forward to exploring Nottingham and finding out more about it in the coming weeks.

“I had seen photos and videos of the arena and it was fantastic to step inside it today. It’s an awesome building and I can’t wait to see it full of Panthers fans.

“The hard work starts now though and it’s all about preparations for the new season.”

Graham’s arrival is being followed by the players who will congregate in the next few days ahead of training camp getting under way next Monday.

“This is a crucial part of the season,” continued Graham. “Getting everyone together in the next few days will be fun.

“It’s where the team starts to bond on and off the ice and both of those aspects are important.

“Of course, many of the guys know each other but there will be many new faces and the players will get to know each other in the coming days.

“There’s a lot of work to get through in the coming weeks but make no mistake about it, this team will be ready to play every night and I am so excited to be working with this group of guys.”

You can see Graham’s first game in charge as Panthers face the Steelers at the Motorpoint Arena in the GM the GM Memorial Trophy on Saturday 27th August (7pm).

Tickets are on sale now for the first clash of the season against the arch rivals, as well as the game at home to Cardiff Devils in the Aladdin Cup on Saturday 3rd September (7pm).
