The Nottingham Panthers linked-up last season with Alzheimer’s Research UK who were our chosen Charity of the Year and we'd like to thank you, our amazing supporters, for your help to raise over £11,000.

Founded in 1992, Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading dementia research charity, working to revolutionise how to treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

The final total was a staggering £11,174.72 which will help fund world-class dementia research towards a cure.

Zoe Dean, Regional Fundraising Officer for Alzheimer's Research UK, said: "Thank you to everyone at the Nottingham Panthers who was involved with the charity partnership, from staff to fans you have made it so very enjoyable.

"It’s been lovely getting to speak to so many of you at games and moving to hear your personal stories of how you have been affected by dementia.

"Through one of your hardest seasons as a club, you came together, supported each other, and raised tens of thousands for many charities including Alzheimer’s Research UK. That’s something to be very proud of.

"Thanks to the fantastic fundraising efforts by the Panthers, we’re investing in the best research and joining forces with world-class organisations to find a cure that people living with dementia deserve."

Nottingham Panthers Fan Liaison Officer, Lisa Rawding, said: "As ever, you have been amazing #PanthersNation. What an incredible amount of money raised.

"I'd like to thank Zoe and the staff at Alzheimer's Research UK for working as our Chairty of the Year.

"We're just in the planning process for next year's charities, so lookout for information on how you can nominate your chosen charity very soon."
