Nottingham Panthers are back in training today to prepare for another busy week of three games in five days.

It all starts on Wednesday with the first trip of the season to Scotland as Panthers face Fife Flyers in Kirkcaldy in the Elite League (19:30 face-off).

The Flyers are under new ownership and are led off the ice by GM Max Birbraer who is no stranger to these shores.

Birbraer first came to the UK in 2006 and spent seven seasons with Cardiff Devils as a player, before icing in the lower leagues for Telford, Swindon and Bristol.

Fife also have a new coach after 59-year-old Jamie Russell was appointed in the summer.

The Canadian has an extensive coaching career in the NCAA, ECHL and more recently in Europe and last season led Ritten/Renon to the success in the Italian Supercup.

It's not been a dream start for the new Fife organisation but they have picked up a couple of impressive home wins over Dundee Stars (5-1) and Belfast Giants (4-3).

After Wednesday night's action, it's back-to-back league games against Dundee for the Panthers.

Saturday's game in Scotland (19:00 face-off) is followed by the two sides going head-to-head in Nottingham on Sunday (19th October) with face-off at the slightly later time of 17:00.

The game is sponsored by Just Schoolwear and it's set to be another big crowd at the Motorpoint Arena, so you're urged to secure your seats asap.

Family Tickets are available in Block 8 and Block 12 on Sunday, which offer discounted admission compared to standard matchnight prices. Click here for more details.

Join us for another important night on Lower Parliament Street. We can't wait to welcome you!
