Nottingham Panthers were beaten 2-1 at home by Coventry Blaze after a shootout on Saturday night in the Elite League.
Matt Marcinew missed out through injury while Johnny Curran and Josh Tetlow were on international duty with Great Britain at the European Cup of Nations in Edinburgh.
Mitch Fossier played his first home game for two months after returning from injury in last night's 4-1 victory on the road at Glasgow Clan.
Jason Grande started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as back-up.
No goals in first session
There were no goals in an entertaining end-to-end first period with Panthers going close through Matt Alfaro and Chase Pearson.
Grande made good saves to deny Grayson Constable and Grant Mismash, while Panthers killed-off over a minute of a five-on-three powerplay to the Blaze.
Harris replies to Constable's opener
Grayson Constable's rebound from the left-circle put the visitors ahead (23:35) before Panthers equalised with a well-worked goal on the delayed penalty.
Intense cycling the puck pressure for just under two minutes ended when Fossier's perfect pass found Brendan Harris for a one-timer the backdoor (30:49).
Tight third period
Matt Spencer produced an outstanding piece of defensive work to stop a Blaze two-on-one and Grande made a top save to stop Mismash.
For the Panthers, Tim Doherty shot just wide while Fossier, Pearson, David Noël and Bryan Lemos had chances on the powerplay.
Blaze take extra point in the shootout
In overtime, Grande came up big to stop Blaze defenceman Jordan Power and at the other end, Alfaro just failed to convert on a breakaway.
Coventry forward Adam Robbins scored the only goal of the shootout as the visitors secured the extra point.
