There's Challenge Cup action for the Nottingham Panthers this evening with a trip on the road to face Manchester Storm (19:30 face-off).

The two sides have already met in Group A this season after Panthers secured a 4-3 win after a shootout back in mid-September.

Ben Corbeil scored twice while Miikka Pitkänen was also on target in regulation-time, before Tim Doherty scored the game-winning penalty-shot.

Netminder Mat Robson saved all five attempts by the Storm as Panthers secured the extra point.

Last weekend's two victories saw Panthers move up to second in Group A, just a point behind leaders Sheffield Steelers, while Manchester are just outside the top three and sit in fourth place with five points in four matches.

The group is so close with only four points separating first to sixth-placed Coventry Blaze.

View from the Bench
Panthers Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Storm have played well at home so far this season. They also had a big win in midweek in Dundee.

"They have some depth and are essentially rolling four lines as much as they can. They are a physical and gritty team as well.

"They have elite goaltending and we know for sure they will make it a tough night. There's no easy nights in the Elite League anymore."

Team News in association with Candid Digital
There's no reported injuries from the Panthers locker room and so Panther expect to be at full-strength. The line-up and Starting Six will be named ahead of face-off.
