RICHARDSON RETURN 'BRINGS BACK GREAT MEMORIES'

Former Nottingham Panthers forward Bruce Richardson talks about the emotion of returning to the Motorpoint Arena with Amiens yesterday.

Richardson, who was a huge fans' favourite as a Panther between 2008 and 2010, is now Head Coach of the French Ligue Magnus side.

He was given a standing ovation just before face-off as a video of some of his great moments played on the jumbotron.

Panthers won the game 4-1 thanks to goals from Tim Doherty, Darick Louis-Jean, Chase Pearson and Spencer Naas.

Richardson said: "The ovation just before face-off was priceless. These are memories that will stay in my heart for the rest of my life.

"When I played here Nottingham had a place in my heart, not just for me but my family too. I walked onto the bench really early. I wanted to soak everything in and see the building.

"It brought back memories of two goals I scored here to take us to the playoff final. It was fun to be on the bench and see the atmosphere.

"I miss that. Just to be here again and see that was so much fun."
