The Nottingham Panthers have signed forward Fabrizio Ricci from fellow Elite League side Dundee Stars.

The 27-year-old first joined the Dundee in 2018 and scored 39 points (17+22) in 60 matches in his first season with the Stars.

After three years in the East Coast Hockey League, Ricci rejoined Dundee in the summer and has so far scored 11 points (2+9) in 21 league and cup matches.

Panthers Head Coach, Gary Graham, said: "He's got good size and the main thing is he's good on the forecheck.

"He finishes his hits, is willing to scrap, stick up for his guys and plays with a lot of heart and passion.

"He knows the league and that's important.

"I like the fact he's been playing in this league already and I think he will help our team."

Meanwhile, forward Andrew Johnston has left the club.

The 31-year-old joined the Panthers in the summer from French side Rouen after previously playing in the Elite League with Coventry Blaze in 2019-20.

Johnston scored two points (1+1) in seven Elite League matches this season, scoring in the opening-day 4-3 overtime victory against Guildford Flames.

The club would like to thank Andrew and his family for their time with the Panthers and wish them all the best of the luck for the future.
