Nottingham Panthers Head Coach Danny Stewart looks ahead to the opening weekend of the season with two Challenge Cup matches to start the 2025-26 campaign.

Panthers host old rivals Cardiff Devils at the Motorpoint Arena tomorrow (Saturday 13th September - 19:00 face-off), before making the trip south to face Guildford Flames on Sunday.

Pre-season saw four wins out of five for Stewart's side including last weekend's 4-1 home victory over Coventry Blaze.

Stewart said: "I have liked what I have seen so far. Results-wise, it was quite a successful pre-season. In certain areas we got better as the pre-season went on.

"Obviously it's early in the grand scheme of things and there are still things we need to clean-up and get better with, but overall pretty happy."

​Our Challenge Cup campaign gets under way this Saturday (13th September) as Cardiff Devils visit the Motorpoint Arena (19:00 face-off).

Matches against the Devils are always exciting and full of passion so it's a night not to be missed.
