Nottingham-born forward Theo Thomas will ice for the Panthers in Saturday's game with Cardiff Devils at the Motorpoint Arena (19:00 face-off).
The highly-rated 18-year-old has come through the junior system at Nottingham Ice Hockey Club.
He made his debut for the Nottingham Lions NIHL 2 side in 2024/25 and also made the step up to the Lions NIHL 1 team.
At the age of just 16, he played 31 times for the Lions in NIHL 1 in the 24/25 campaign and scored nine points (4+5).
Panthers Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Theo came in this week and has really impressed us. Matt (Bradbury) and Gloss (Paul Glossop) have done a great job with him.
"I can’t say enough about his attitude. He works his bag off, is in great shape and skates very well for his age. I think having him dress and play some shifts will be a great experience for him.
"He is very early in his development, probably a few years away from being a full-time player at this level. But with his work rate, skating ability and most importantly his attitude, he has a bright future."
Matt Bradbury, Head Coach of the Nottingham Lions, said: "Theo has come through the Nottingham junior programme like so many before him who have played Panthers or are playing for them now.
"He has a great attitude towards the game. He's a fast speedy winger who constantly works hard in both ends of the ice."
Zach O'Brien will not be in the Panthers line-up this weekend as he returns to North American for a family commitment.
