Canadian forward Ben Corbeil joins the Nottingham Panthers after his first professional season where he split his time between Austrian side HC Innsbruck of the ICEHL and German DEL2 side Eispiraten Crimmitschau.

He played 48 games for Innsbruck scoring 16 goals and 12 assists to finish as the team's second-highest point-scorer and joint-highest goalscorer.

A native of Granby, Quebec in Canada, Corbeil played in AA and AAA junior in his home state before being drafted by Drummondville Voltiguers in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

He played 35 games in Drummondville before moving on to fellow QMJHL side Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. Corbeil played 130 games for Armada, scoring 40 goals and 40 assists for 80 points overall.

His final QMJHL season was in 2021/22 for Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Wearing an A on his jersey, Corbeil had his highest point-scoring season in the QMJHL, finishing as joint-highest point-scorer for the team with 36 goals and 35 assists in 72 games.

In 2022, Corbeil signed for the University of New Brunswick Reds in Canada’s USports to combine hockey with academic studies. His time in Brunswick was extremely successful, winning two USports University Cup Championships.

The Reds retained their University Cup title in 2023/24 with a 4-0 victory over Québec à Trois-Rivières in the Gold Medal game in Toronto.

Corbeil scored twice in the 4-0 quarter-final victory over Brock University and got an assist in the 7-0 semi-final win over Toronto Metropolitan, ensuring the Reds retained their crown without conceding a goal.

In 2024/25, Corbeil played 33 games for the Reds as New Brunswick reached the University Cup Finals once again after winning their Conference title. He scored 18 goals and 32 assists for 50 points over the season, including scoring the opening goal in the Reds' 3-2 overtime loss to Ottawa in the University Cup quarter-final.
