As of Tuesday morning, there's under 300 tickets left for Saturday's first visit of the season to Nottingham by arch rivals Sheffield Steelers.

The game is sponsored by RDR Stoves and the two sides will go head-to-head for Challenge Cup points (19:00 face-off) in what will be, as ever, a loud and passionate Motorpoint Arena.

It's a rivaly going back four decades and the passion is intense on and off the ice.

The last meeting between the two sides was on Lower Parliament Street as Panthers beat the Steelers 4-3 after overtime in a dramatic playoff semi-final back in April.

After Steelers stormed to a two-goal lead, Cooper Zech and Reid Stefanson scored to tie the game. Mitch Fossier put Panthers ahead late-on but Sheffield responded with a fluke goal by Mitchell Balmas that bounced off the backboards and into the net.

A tense overtime was settled when Sam Herr literally waved goodbye to the Steelers with the winner to set-up a final which Panthers would go on to beat Cardiff Devils 4-3 after overtime in one of the most dramatic games ever seen in the Motorpoint Arena.

Saturday's encounter will see Finlay Ulrick come up against his former club for the first time. The 25-year-old played for the Steelers in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

There's also the return of former Panther Logan Neilson who made the trip up the M1 in the summer after two seasons in Nottingham.

It doesn't get any bigger than Panthers against Steelers and on a Saturday night at the Motorpoint Arena.

This game will sell-out very soon so secure your seats now and be part of the passionate #PanthersNation.
