Nottingham Panthers have two games this weekend with matches against Dundee Stars at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday night (19:00) before travelling to Cardiff to take on the Devils at the Vindico Arena (16:00).

Defeats by Guildford Fames (5-4) and Glasgow Clan (4-1) in the past week mean Panthers are four points behind leaders Belfast Giants in the Elite League standings and one point behind second-placed Cardiff.

Defenceman Jakub Stridsberg is the man in point-scoring form for the Panthers coming into this weekend with two goals and three assists in his past five games.

Tim Doherty has seven assists in his past four games, while fellow forward Ross Armour has three goals in his past four outings.

Stars face Devils tonight (Friday) at Dundee Ice Arena before travelling down to Nottingham for the Saturday night clash.

Marc Lefebvre’s side find themselves at the bottom of the Elite League having won just three of their past 10 games - their last victory coming in overtime on 9th January against Coventry Blaze at the Skydome.

In the head-to-head match-up this season, Panthers have won three and suffered an overtime loss against the Stars in four games so far this season.

Dundee have scored the least number of goals so far in league competition, hitting the net 68 times in 30 games.

Their offensive threats will come from top-scorer Spencer Naas, defenceman Drydn Dow and former Panther Otto Nieminen, who scored the overtime winner the last time Panthers played Stars in Dundee on 6th December.

On Sunday, Panthers head to Cardiff who have won their past four games at home in the league. However, they're coming off a 6-3 loss to Sheffield Steelers in Sheffield last Sunday.

Paul Thompson’s side have acquired 12 points from the past 20 available, but are still maintaining a strong challenge at the top end of the Elite League.

The Devils are packed with offensive talent with Josh MacDonald, Joey Martin, Cole Sandford and Kristoff Kontos leading their scoring.

Currently though, the man in form is Riley Brandt who has scored six goals in his last five games, along with two assists.

With so much at stake in this fixture at the top of the Elite League, expect a tense, hard-fought battle at the Vindico Arena on Sunday.
