Day Two was full of drama and passion in Nottingham with victories for Torpedo and Katowice.

Big win for Torpedo
Torpedo took a big step to booking their place in the Gold Medal Game with a convincing 6-2 victory over Herning to go top of the Red Group.

A one-timer from the left-circle by Oskars Cibulskis made it 2-1 to Herning (22:26), but the game was turned on its head with two goals in 31 seconds.

Nikita Kolobov netted on a rebound (28:54) and a one-timer from the top of the right-circle on the powerplay by Maxim Musorov (29:25) swung the game in favour of Torpedo.

Kolobov scored on the powerplay from the right-circle for his second of the game (37:39) as Torpdeo took a two-goal lead to the second intermission.

Dmitriy Grents scored on a breakaway (52:00) and Ilia Kliauzov fired into the top left-hand corner (55:34) .

The heavy defeat means Herning are unable to qualify for the Gold Medal Game with bronze their best hope.
