WOW! 2,311 SOFT TOYS DONATED ON TEDDY BEAR TOSS NIGHT
Thank you #PanthersNation - we had a record 2,311 soft toys donated at Sunday's Teddy Bear Toss against Fife Flyers.
Chase Pearson had the honour of scoring the Teddy Bear Toss goal at 02:38 of the first period in our 4-1 victory over the Flyers.
"It was amazing," said Pearson. "I mean who wouldn’t want thousands of teddy bears thrown at them?
“Nottingham has the best fans in the league and the generosity at the Teddy Bear Toss really proves that.”
It was pretty obvious from the amount of teddies thrown onto the ice that there were thousands.
The soft toys have now all been counted and the final figure shows nearly double last year's total and a new record.
There are so many thank yous on a special night like Teddy Bear Toss.
As ever, a huge thank you to Nic Williams and the team at The Renewal Trust for their support on the night and in the coming days as the soft toys are donated to deserving children this Christmas.
Our thanks also to Copley Scientific for their support with the van and volunteers, as well the members of the Church at Community.
And thank you to the volunteers - and of course the players and officials - who helped remove thousands of teddies from the Motorpoint Arena ice so quickly and efficiently.
