ANGERS, AMIENS AND DEVILS AT HOME IN PRE-SEASON
There's a fantastic pre-season schedule in store as Nottingham Panthers will do battle with French top-flight sides Ducs d'Angers and Gothiques d'Amiens, as well as Elite League rivals Cardiff Devils.
Both Amiens and Angers visited the Motorpoint Arena last season and their return to Nottingham throws-up a number of intriguing sub-plots for pre-season.
Ticket details will be annouced in due course for all three matches.
Sunday 23rd August (16:00) - Panthers v Ducs d'Angers
The opening game of pre-season sees another return to Nottingham for former coach Jonathan Paredes who coached the Panthers with distinction in the 2023-24 campaign.
Paredes returned, of course, back in January with Angers in the 2026 IIHF Continental Cup Final.
The game will also see a return for former netminder Alex Dubeau who played for the Panthers in the 2022-23 campaign.
Saturday 29th August (19:00) - Panthers v Gothiques d'Amiens
For the second pre-season in succession, Amiens will visit Nottingham and once again there's a familiar face behind the bench.
Last season they were coached by former Panther Kevin Bergin and after he left to take up a job in North America, Amiens appointed his former team-mate and a huge Nottingham fans' favourite, Bruce Richardson.
Richardson played for the Panthers for two seasons from 2008, scoring 41 goals and 124 assists for 165 points in 159 matches, and was part of the Challenge Cup-winning side in the 2009-10 campaign. He could fight too and amassed 340 PIMS over two seasons.
The Amiens roster has a number of familiar names with netminder Alexis Gravel (Belfast Giants), Tyler Hinam (Manchester Storm) and Nick Seitz (Coventry Blaze, Sheffield Steelers and Guildford Flames) all having played in the Elite League.
Saturday 5th September (19:00) - Panthers v Cardiff Devils
Panthers will complete their home pre-season campaign against Elite League rivals Cardiff Devils.
It's the first of back-to-back matches between the two sides with part two in Cardiff on Sunday 6th September (17:00 face-off).
As ever, Cardiff have familiar names on their roster including former Panthers players Mark Richardson and Evan Mosey.
Panthers and Devils have a long-standing rivalry going back decades and matches at the Motorpoint Arena always have a bit of spice, whether it's pre-season, Elite League, Challenge Cup or playoffs.
It's shaping up to be a thrilling pre-season and full ticket details will be announced soon.
