It's gameday for the Nottingham Panthers and a trip to Wales to face Cardiff Devils in the Challenge Cup (17:00 face-off).

Panthers are four points behind second-placed Cardiff and need a win to keep alive hopes of a place in the cup knockout stages.

The Devils shared 11 goals with Coventry last night but a late powerplay strike by Grant Mismash secured the Blaze a 6-5 victory in Wales.

Panthers go into the game on the back of the 6-3 home defeat by Manchester Storm, with Head Coach Danny Stewart challenging his side to show more desire to make amends fo the loss on home ice.

View from the Bench
Stewart said: "Cardiff are a good hockey team who are well coached. They are good at home and play physical.

"I think we've played spurts of good hockey against them, but in both games so far against them a period in each hurt us."
