Congratulations to Nottingham's very own Leigh Wood as he regained the WBA featherweight title with a fantastic display in Manchester last night.

Wood beat Mauricio Lara to become world champion thanks for an unanimous points decision in a thrilling bout at the AO Arena.

The Panthers fan knocked down Lara in round two and the judges scored it 118-109, 116-111 and 118-109 in his favour.

Many congratulations to Leigh from everyone connected with the Panthers.
