The start of a huge weekend begins this evening as The Nottingham Panthers travel to Altrincham to face Manchester Storm in the Elite League (7pm).

It's the first of a double-header against the Storm with the two sides meeting at the Motorpoint Arena tomorow (Sunday - 4pm face-off).

Panthers start the weekend three points outside the top eight and know that two wins will give them the chance of securing one of the final playoff spots.

The final outcome will depend on results elsewhere for Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers, Glasgow Clan and Coventry Blaze.

Captain Mike Caruso said: "We just have to control what we can control and that's getting four points this weekend.

"It would mean everything to us to get in the playoffs. It would mean the world to this group of guys, this group of fans and everybody involved here in Nottingham."

Team News in association with Evolve Injury Clinic
The Panthers welcome back Carl Neill who has been out of action since early March and Westin Michaud returns after missing Monday's game with Glasgow Clan.

Jake Ryczek and Logan Neilson miss-out because of injury.

Whole team Shirt Off His Back
There's 24 chances to win in the away day Shirt Off His Back. The whole roster is up for grabs, as well as everyone's favourite Paws, so there are plenty of chances to win a very speical prize.

Most of the shirts will be game-worn but the players who do not ice in the game will be player-issued shirts rather than game-worn.

Such is the short turnaround, the jerseys will not be signed but winners can collect from the Panthers Kiosk tomorrow when we host the Storm.
