Swedish forward Didrik Henbrant has returned to the Nottingham Panthers for a third successive season.
The 27-year-old scored 41 points (22+19) in 51 regular-season matches and added nine points (2+7) in 13 games in the Challenge Cup.
He was part of our stunning playoff title success as Panthers beat Cardiff Devils 4-3 in double overtime in the Grand Final at the Motorpoint Arena in April.
Henbrant said: "It feels amazing. The end we had here this season was amazing and I am super excited to be back. Playing for the Panthers ticks all the boxes.
"There's a great fanbase and we had a great team that won this year. We want to win next year too. We play out a great rink and everyone in the organisation is superb.
"We have so much character in the room and everyone worked so hard. I think it was written in the stars that we would win. There was just a feeling in the room that we would win.
"The team is just like one big family and the fans are the best I have ever experienced."
The back end of Henbrant's season saw him pick up an upper body injury, but he worked closely with the specialist at The Park Hospital to be cleared to continue on the ice. He also worked with the Evolve Injury Clinic Medical and Strength & Conditioning team to ensure he was ready to play.
On the days leading up to Playoff Finals Weekend, Henbrant underwent a procedure at The Park Hospital to take his place in the line-up.
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Dids was arguably our best player for half the year last season before his injury started to affect him.
"He was electric in the first half and was a big reason for our turn around in early November. His speed is second to none in this league and it creates so much energy for us going forward.
"On top of that he has an excellent work ethic and commitment to this club. That was shown down the stretch playing at 60 per cent health and still contributing to the group."
