Nottingham Panthers are thrilled to announce that Joe Hazeldine has returned to the club for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Nottingham-born defenceman came through the Nottingham Junior System and first played for the Panthers as a teenager in the 2017-18 season.

He played in Germany during the covid-hit season of 2020-21 before returning to the UK to ice for Manchester Storm in the Elite Series.

After two Elite League seasons with Manchester Storm, he move to Hungary to ice for Fehérvár in the Erste Liga.

The 25-year-old returned to the Panthers for the second part of the 2023-24 season, scoring two goals and 10 assists for 12 points.

Hazeldine has spent the past two years with Glasgow Clan and is currently away with Great Britain at the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Switzerland.

"I am so excited to be coming back," said Hazeldine. "Nottingham is my home and it's such a great place to play. I love the city and the arena - it's somewhere I grew up.

"This is an exciting time for the club and it's clear we are building an exciting and talented group of players.

"The club has had great success in the past few years and I want to be part of continuing to push the Panthers forward."
