Jordan Kelsall has signed a new contract to return to the Nottingham Panthers for an eighth season.
The 25-year-old Nottingham-born forward once again showed the vital role he plays for the club as he stepped back to play on defence throughout the campaign.
Kelsall was one of only four players to be ever-present in the 54-game regular-season and contributed 10 points (2+8), including goals in the 6-0 victory at home against Fife Flyers in December and the 4-2 win on the road at Sheffield Steelers on Boxing Day.
He also played all four games in the playoff-winning campaign as Panthers beat Cardiff Devils 4-3 in double overtime to secure the championship trophy.
Kelsall said: "It feels amazing to be back once again. This is where I want to play, especially after the end to the season we had. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else.
"Winning the playoffs was just unbelievable. I have watched the team as a fan lift many trophies here, so to do it as a player is surreal.
"The support we have from the fans is incredible and it was just so nice to celebrate with them all. Through thick and thin they have supported us and it's nice to reward them with a trophy."
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Jordan is a Panther through and through. He’s a team-first guy that plays anywhere you need him and does it so affectively and consistently.
"He gives us depth through the line-up on both forward and D. His role grew in the second half on the PK and we will expect that again next season."
