British netminder Luca Sheldon has signed a new deal to return to the Nottingham Panthers for the 2025-26 season.

It'a a fourth successive season for the 22-year-old Nottingham-born goalie who won the club's Most Entertaining Player last season, as voted for by the supporters.

Sheldon, who came through the Nottingham Ice Hockey Club junior system, said: "I am so excited to be back for another season with the Panthers.

"I have said this many times before but it never changes - it's just an honour to play for the club I watched as a kid.

"Winning last season with the Panthers was the most exciting moment of my career. It really was so special.

"I am looking forward to working with Jason (Grande) again next season and I feel ready to prove myself on the ice for this great hockey club."

Panthers Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Getting Luca back provides us with depth in goal and a great team-mate in the room.

"He takes alot of shots from our guys during the year. A lot of what he brings to us goes unnoticed from the outside, but he is loved by his team-mates and everyone else involved in the organisation.

"We are thrilled to have him back and have another year to help him progress."
