Nottingham Panthers are excited to confirm our participation in the 2025-26 Continental Cup.

As 2025 Playoff Championship winners, Panthers have won the right to play in the European competition next season.

Panthers will enter in the third round (semi-final) stage which will be hosted by a European team in November, with full details being confirmed next month.

It's a competition that Panthers have a proud tradition with, becoming the first UK team to win the trophy back in 2016-17.

After three wins from three in the second round in Jaca in Spain, Panthers also finished top of the group in the third round in Odense, Denmark.

Panthers secured the trophy in the final in January 2017 in Ritten, Italy (pictured above), which saw wins over Odense Bulldogs (2-0), Beibarys Atyrau (3-2) and Ritten Sport (4-1).

In 2019-20, Panthers secured the silver medal with a second-placed finish in the final round in Vojens, Denmark.

Omar Pacha, Panthers CEO, said: "The Panthers have a great tradition and record in Europe of which we are very proud. We are excited for our fans who have not experienced competitive European hockey for over five seasons.

"For our players and coaches, this will be a great chance to put their talents on show and a fantastic opportunity to add another chapter to the club's successful European record.

"While our primary focus remains on domestic competitions, we fully recognise the opportunity to compete for another piece of European silverware.

"Historically, balancing success across all competitions with the added fixtures has been challenging for EIHL teams, but we’re committed to giving our best on every front."
