It's a sold-out Motorpoint Arena this evening as Nottingham Panthers host arch-rivals Sheffield Steelers at the Motorpoint Arena (19:00 face-off).

The game - which is sponsored by Burton Joinery - is a battle of the top two teams in the Elite League with a huge two points on the line.

Steelers have a one-point lead over the Panthers at the top of the table although have played a game more.

Panthers won 5-3 on the road at Coventry Blaze last weekend thanks to goals from David Noël, Ross Armour, Brendan Harris, Mitch Fossier and Jarod Hilderman.

Sheffield won twice as Saturday's 2-1 victory over Fife Flyers was followed by a 4-3 win on the road at Guildford Flames after a shootout.
