Forward Brendan Harris has returned to the Nottingham Panthers and signed a contract for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

The 30-year-old, who was named by supporters as the Most Entertaining Player of the Year in 2025/26, scored 32 points (11+21) in 43 regular-season matches.

Harris was part of the Challenge Cup-winning team which beat Coventry Blaze 3-2 in overtime in a dramatic final at the Motorpoint Arena. He also scored three points in three Continental Cup matches as Panthers become the first UK side to win the European trophy for a second time.

Earlier in his career, Harris ripped up the scoring charts as a junior including a remarkable 98 points (23+75) in 57 games with Wenatchee Wild in Canada. The forward then spent four years at Bemidji State University in the NCAA

His first professional contract was with ECHL side Wheeling Nailers where he played alongside Matt Alfaro and Tim Doherty. Harris moved to Jacksonville midway through the 2021/22 campaign, spending three-and-half seasons with the Icemen which included a team-high 66 points (21+45) in 66 matches in 2023/24.

Harris has also played three games in the American Hockey League with Cleveland Monsters.

Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "It's great to have Harry back. He adds much more pace to our forward group, some further depth up the middle, and will improve all aspects of our game.

"He will help us create more goalscoring opportunities which we feel is an area that needs to get better."

Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: "The club is always looking for ways to strengthen and we feel there are some areas that we need to improve.

"We have been active in looking to add to the roster for some time and we are very happy that we were able to bring back Harry when the opportunity arose in what has been a very challenging player market."

Harris arrived in the UK on Thursday evening and trained with his team-mates today (Friday). It is hoped he will be available for selection next weekend subject to his international clearance being approved.
