The Nottingham Panthers forward Logan Neilson will return to the club for the 2024-25 season.

The 21-year-old completed his first professional season and was voted the Elite League's Under-23 Player of the Year.

Neilson scored eight goals and added nine assists for 17 points before injury ended his season early.

The campaign included a six-game scoring streak and eight goals in a 10-match span in February/March.

He was selected for GB's training camp squad ahead of the World Championship and played in two matches against Poland at Planet Ice Leeds and the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.

Neilson said: "Nottingham is my home and has been since I was a little boy.

"It took me a while to get going but as the year went on everything felt more comfortable and things started to click.

"Everything started to roll and it was great to get that first year as a professional hockey player under my belt.

"It's obviously a dream to play here. The fans are awesome and there is no place like home."

Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: "It was great to see Logan really grow as a player this year.

"He had a good first year as a pro and was one of the best British players in the league, which was underlined by his under-23 award.

"We're excited to have him back and we believe he can continue to get better."
